Our dedicated leasing consultants work diligently to create an inviting community for residents and prospective residents. Whether they are working in the leasing office answering phones, interacting with residents at events, or giving walk-throughs of the community to prospective residents, our leasing consultants go above and beyond to make their community feel like home. To honor our team and the work that they do, we wanted to give others the opportunity to get to know them better and learn more about their important role!
Meet Samantha Daniel — she has been a leasing consultant with P.B. Bell at Reflections at Gila Springs in Chandler for four years. Learn more about her and her responsibilities here:
What does a typical day in your life look like?
No two days are ever the same (which is one of the many things that I love about this role) but I generally start off my day by getting into the leasing office a little before it opens. I’ll turn on the lights, check emails, check the community que, review service requests and more.
Then, I’ll take some time to respond to questions from residents and prospective residents. I’ll also review the running price sheet so that I am aware of what’s available and give the most accurate information possible when prospective residents come in to look at apartments. If we have apartment tour appointments scheduled for that day, I’ll check the tour route and make sure everything is clean, set up and open so they can easily navigate our community.
However, every day is different! Some days I might spend the whole day on the phone answering questions or responding to emails. Overall, my role requires a lot of communication between residents and prospective residents, as well as with our team. I’m in constant communication with our assistant manager and community manager, on top of staying connected with our maintenance team to make sure the community is running smoothly.
What is your favorite memory from working at P.B. Bell?
I have so many incredible memories because I really lucked out with the team that I work with and the residents I get to interact with. However, if I had to pick one, it would be the first major event that we hosted in our community after I started working with P.B. Bell. We had a giant barbecue at the pool and grilled up hot dogs and hamburgers to enjoy with the residents.
A lot of residents came out and it was a great opportunity for them to get to know us better outside of the normal leasing office setting. I love getting to know our residents and building those lasting relationships that help them feel welcome and at home in our community!
What do you enjoy the most about being a leasing consultant?
I love helping people — I am definitely a people-person! As a leasing consultant, I have the opportunity to meet so many new people, build relationships with them and help them feel at home in our community.
What do you love about your community?
My favorite aspect of our community is our location and the property itself. This community is about 27 years old but the person who built it was really ahead of their times. The apartment unit’s layouts are spacious, functional and each unit has a lot of storage space.
On top of that, the community sits right next to a lake which provides the property with an abundance of greenery and wildlife — including lots of cute little ducklings! It’s something that I think is really unique about our community that you don’t see at many apartments in the Valley.
What is one fun fact about you?
When people meet me, they generally wouldn’t think that I would be a hands-on worker that doesn’t mind getting dirty because I work in an office and dress professionally. However, I love being outside and doing manual labor. Recently, our maintenance team needed some additional help painting the curbs and I immediately jumped at the opportunity!
Growing up, my parents always had us help with yard work and I would take side jobs from family and even helped my friend’s parents redo their patio. Even now, I still help someone with their yard work — I enjoy it!
What is your favorite thing to do in Arizona?
I love to hike around Saguaro Lake — I think it is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the Valley. Anytime anyone comes to visit me from out of state, I always take them there because you just don’t expect to find a place like that in the middle of the desert.
I really enjoy the hikes around the area and sometimes I’ll even pack a picnic to enjoy while I rest and take in the scenery. I’ve also been on the Desert Belle Cruise a couple of times which is an incredible experience.
What is your favorite restaurant in Chandler?
I think the downtown Chandler area is amazing — it’s quaint and it has a lot of great restaurants. Our leasing team likes to go to San Tan Brewery for lunch and we get our favorite chicken tenders. However, you have to get them the “original way” — it’s the best!
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I am a major gamer and will spend a lot of my time off playing video games — my current favorite is Uncharted on the Playstation! However, when it’s not too hot outside, I will spend my time outdoors and hiking.
What is your life motto?
My life motto is just be positive and grateful for what you have. In the past, I had a habit of always wanting more and thinking I would be happier if I just attained certain things. I’ve come to realize that life is about enjoying the everyday little things and that being happy and healthy is all you can really ask for.
We are also proud to announce that Samantha was recently promoted to Assistant Manager and will be transferring to Zaterra Luxury Apartments soon. Congratulations on your new role — we appreciate everything you do!
