Passing the Torch
On January 11, 2019, after 42 years of leadership, founder and chairman Philip Bell officially turned over the company reins to his son, Chapin Bell, the company’s president and chief executive. The transition was marked by a celebration at the Studio Movie Grill with P. B. Bell staff, plus friends, family and business associates.
“My dad will be 82 this year and has been in the business 42 years,” said Chapin. “We’ve been working on this transition for a number of years, and now he’s ready to hang up his cowboy boots and enjoy the fruits of his labor. He’s created a great legacy and a great foundation for us to move forward.”
A full story detailing the longevity of Phil’s career, how times have changed since he first began and what’s next for him and P. B. Bell was shared in an incredible article to CoStar News Phoenix. Additonally, a touching video dedicated to Phil can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68BT88LeVM4
Supporting Single Parents With Cancer
Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is life-changing and potentially devastating – both emotionally and financially – so the last thing anyone needs to be worried about is how they’re going to pay the bills. One of the most important values in our organization is to give back to others and make the community a better place for everyone.
At P. B. Bell, we’re proud to support The Singletons, a non-profit organization that has aided more than 300 single parents with cancer (and their 1000+ children) who are receiving active chemotherapy. The $7,000 donation raised by the P. B. Bell team will help the non-profit restock 25 homes with basic household necessities, pay 30 electric bills and provide 100 family-style meals. Overall, this month brought us an emotional goodbye to our founder, Philip Bell, along with a chance to give back to a deserving local charity, the Singletons. We were also honored to share our knowledge with readers of Multi-Family Executive Magazine. The team at P. B. Bell is excited to see what the future holds under Chapin’s leadership and looks forward to many more philanthropic opportunities to give back to the Valley, as we make our way into month two of 2019.
