P.B. Bell Named Volunteer of the Year at AMA Tribute Awards

P.B. Bell Marketing Coordinator Noelia Doherty was recently  awarded ‘Volunteer of the Year — Statewide’ for her work in 2017 at the 2018 Arizona Multihousing Association Tribute Awards. P.B. Bell is a leader in multifamily housing development, management and acquisitions.

Doherty’s volunteer efforts are best recognized through her involvement with the Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation (AMCF), for which she lead P.B. Bell to continue its title as the largest donor to the foundation for three years running.

“Being in charge of our philanthropy efforts has always been the highlight of my role working at P.B. Bell,” said Doherty. “It’s such an honor to be recognized as  Volunteer of the Year for the entire state of Arizona and it’s fulfilling to know our cumulative efforts have paid off by raising funds for such amazing causes.”

The awards aim to recognize individuals and multifamily communities who have gone above and beyond in their respective fields and categories. Held on the evening of May 11 at the Phoenix Convention Center, the Tribute Awards distributed a total of 24 accolades to individuals and entities across the industry.

The AMCF, a group that P.B. Bell has long supported, cumulatively raised more than $50,000 in support to local charities and nonprofits. This year, AMCF raised donations for Umom Day Centers and Autism Speaks. The former restores hope and rebuilds lives by providing shelter, services and affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness in the Valley. Autism Speaks is a national organization that supports autism research and advocacy work.

“Corporate philanthropy is very important to P.B. Bell and programs like AMCF’s bring communities and companies together through their donation and volunteering events. Noelia is a wonderful asset to our team and we are excited that she has been recognized for this great honor,” said R. Chapin Bell, CEO of P.B. Bell.

This year, P.B. Bell garnered 36 nominations in 16 categories at the Tribute Awards. Of those, eight were selected as finalists.
