Scottsdale-based multihousing company raises $10,324 in 2017
PHOENIX (March 15, 2018) – P.B. Bell, a local real estate firm with concentrations in the development, acquisition and management of apartment communities, has been named the largest donor to the Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation for the third year running.
AMCF represents the giving programs of various different management firms under the Arizona Multihousing Foundation. Over its lifetime, the consortium has raised over $50,000 in support to local charities and nonprofits. This year, AMCF will be raising donations for UMOM Day Centers and Autism Speaks. The former restores hope and rebuilds lives by providing shelter, services and affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness in the Valley. Autism Speaks is a national organization that supports autism research and advocacy work.
In 2016, P.B. Bell raised $3,194 on behalf of AMCF — making 2017’s donations of $10,324 a marked increase of 323 percent.
“The fact that we’re seeing such a jump in donations is clear evidence that P.B. Bell residents and employees are all-in when it comes to helping our community,” said P.B. Bell’s CEO R. Chapin Bell.
P.B. Bell independently organized an extensive list of donation events to help these causes. These include $1 food events, a bake sale, a car wash, patio decorating contest, a gift wrapping station and their most lucrative event – a jeans drive at P.B. Bell’s corporate office.
“Our jeans drive at corporate really had a massive impact on our fundraising,” said Bell. Employees would donate to wear jeans to work, and the turnout was really astounding.”
Assorted local events organized by AMCF also help bolster donations. The foundation hosts a ‘Big Hearts Bowl-A-Thon’ and a car raffle. Both intend to bring staff, as well as community residents, together through giving.
